About Us

Founded in 2008, The Mondejar Gallery specializes in contemporary art and was established by curator Minerva Mondejar Steiner and Swiss movie director Michael Steiner. In just two years, the gallery gained recognition as an innovative space, featured in prestigious publications like the Louis Vuitton Art Guide. Coverage from prominent Swiss newspapers, including Tages Anzeiger and NZZ, as well as renowned television stations like SFR and artv.ch, highlighted the gallery's activities extensively. All exhibitions are curated by Minerva Mondejar Steiner.

Beyond contemporary art, The Mondejar Gallery serves as an exclusive dealership for 19th and 20th-century artworks. With a curated selection of masterpieces from renowned artists, the gallery provides collectors with a unique opportunity to acquire exceptional pieces from this transformative era in art history.

Managed by Minerva Mondejar Steiner, the gallery operates as part of the JE Mondejar Computer College Association (JEMCCA), a non-profit organization based in Switzerland. JEMCCA extends support to the JE Mondejar Computer College, a school foundation in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines..

Minerva Mondejar Steiner's philanthropic efforts commenced following the devastation caused by super-typhoon Haiyan in Tacloban City, Leyte, Philippines. She promptly mobilized her friends and utilized her connections to deliver immediate aid to the affected Taclobanons. As the founder of the M. Mondejar Steiner Foundation, she played a crucial role in the reconstruction of the damaged facilities of the JE Mondejar Computer College and the implementation of various feeding and out-of-school programs. Additionally, numerous scholarships were granted to current students, ensuring uninterrupted education.
