Mondejar Gallery’s Founder Minerva Mondejar Steiner Supports Young Art Film at St. Moritz Art Film Festival 2024
St. Moritz, Switzerland – Minerva Mondejar Steiner, founder of Mondejar Gallery and a member of the St. Moritz Art Film Festival (SMAFF), recently attended and supported the 2024 edition of the festival, a prestigious platform dedicated to young and experimental art films. This year’s festival, held from 12–15 September, centred on the theme “Meanwhile Histories” and featured a diverse selection of 40 screenings that challenged conventional perspectives on time and history.
The festival drew a global audience, with notable attendees including artists such as Flavio Paolucci, Michel Auder, Naeem Mohaiemen, and the duo Gerard & Kelly. The international jury, comprising Chomwan Weeraworawit, Luciano Rigolini, and Natalia Sielewicz, awarded top honours, including Best Feature Film for Preemptive Listening by Aura Satz and Best Short & Experimental Film for Parsi by Eduardo Williams.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Stefano Rabolli Pansera and Managing Director Diana Segantini, SMAFF continues to be a vital centre for cultural and philosophical exploration in the Engadin Valley. Minerva Mondejar Steiner’s support underscores her commitment to fostering emerging talent in the film and art sectors, aligning with SMAFF’s mission to amplify young voices and experimental cinema.
