In Zurich's art scene, it is difficult to shine with something never seen before. Minerva Mondejar succeeds in doing so by presenting art from her homeland, the Philippines. The exhibition highlights the fascinating emerging generation of artists growing there.
The works of Jerson Samson denounce the corrupt double standards of the post-Marcos democracy. The damaged ambulance, whose windows reflect the fire of a neighbouring building, or the cynical view into the illuminated windows of a budget hotel – this is committed art at its finest. (EWH)
